Who is responsible for the content?
Instant Deed Poll is responsible for the guides and product information published here. A named byline or reviewer credit should describe that person's actual contribution to the particular page. An updated date is not a claim that a solicitor or paralegal has individually reviewed the page or a customer's document.
Our service generates documents automatically from the information supplied in the form. It does not include individual legal advice or a personal legal review of each order.
What sources do we use?
Legal and administrative guidance is checked against primary sources such as GOV.UK, HM Passport Office, DVLA, the relevant devolved authority and legislation.gov.uk. Official fees are distinguished from our own document prices and providers' commercial charges.
Competitor websites may be sources for their own advertised services and prices. They are not the authority for a legal rule. Search results, forums and AI summaries can suggest questions to investigate; they do not replace the underlying source.
How do we handle uncertainty?
Requirements can vary by jurisdiction, age, the change being made and the organisation receiving the document. We explain the scope of an answer and direct readers to the recipient's current instructions where a general rule is insufficient. Processing estimates are not delivery guarantees, and an advertised preparation price is not necessarily the total cost of updating official records.
We do not invent customer numbers, case studies, qualifications, rankings or reviews. Where a claim cannot be supported, it should be qualified, corrected or removed.
What do the document and website checks establish?
Document templates and automated tests help keep required wording and generated PDF output consistent. Website checks cover issues such as broken internal links, page metadata, sitemap coverage and structured data matching visible content. These checks cannot determine whether a customer's facts are true, whether a witness is suitable, or whether a document meets every recipient's requirements.

What do the page dates mean?
An updated date records a substantive change to that page. Dates are maintained per page and reused in the sitemap and machine-readable descriptions; rebuilding the website does not make every article newly reviewed. A named professional review requires a separate, real review event.
Guidance may change between updates. Follow the linked official instructions before submitting an application, and tell us if a source has changed or a statement appears wrong.
How are prices and comparisons handled?
Our product prices are one-time payments. An optional Notification Letter Pack may be offered before payment; the checkout shows the selected total. Printing, postage to organisations, official application fees and authorised witnessing are separate where needed.
Comparisons should state the date, source and what each price includes. A downloadable PDF and a posted document are different delivery services. We link the free deed poll template and official routes where they meet the reader's needs. Paying us does not buy government approval or a stronger legal status.
How do we handle reviews and commercial interests?
We sell our own document preparation services, so our commercial interest is explicit. Product recommendations should explain when a reader can use existing evidence, a free template or an official form instead. We do not sell editorial placements or accept payment to alter a comparison outcome.
Only genuine customer feedback should be presented as a review. We do not invent ratings or present planned review collection as an operating service. Our reviews page states the current position.
How can a reader request a correction?
Email support@instantdeedpoll.co.uk with the page address, the statement in question and, where available, the official source. Do not include unnecessary identity documents or other people's personal details. Material corrections are recorded in our corrections log.
What are the limits of the service?
We supply document preparation and general information, not a law firm's advice. Disputed parental responsibility, court restrictions, overseas requirements and other complex circumstances may need advice from a qualified professional. An automated form cannot resolve a dispute or authorise a name change that otherwise requires consent.
